In November 2020, I read David Goggins book, Can’t Hurt Me.

 It inspired me to take a closer look at myself. At what I was doing day in and day out to become the best version of me. I can share with you that it was not pretty. After intense self reflection, I realized I could do so much more. 

The famous saying often cited characterizes the importance of each step a person must take.

A journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step.

Lao Tzu

I have learned the importance of defining the Why for an individual or an enterprise. I have facilitated workshops and coached executives to help each of them to discover their purpose. With the clarity of purpose, the first step is often taken.

However, the first step is not enough and sometimes it is the easiest. The toughest step sometimes can be the 100th step or the 700th step. When all crashes down on you and the clarity of your purpose fades away.

The Limitless Leader’s Journey starts with self awareness. Leading one self is the toughest part of the Journey because without that Leading Others and Leading Leaders will become inefficient. 

The 3rd principle in the Limitless Leader’s Journey also reflects this important element in a Leader’s effectiveness. 

The Limitless Leader must not only question what they are saying but more often what they are doing. 

So heed the call from David Goggins, from whom I have borrowed for the title of this blog:

Don’t talk about it. Be about it.
