As the Limitless Leader’s journey is infinite, the stages the Limitless Leader evolves in is continuous. 

Before one can lead others, one must learn to lead oneself better. From my perspective, this stage is the most challenging. Being self aware. Taking time for introspection/reflection. Working through the changes. These are the challenges we face as we take on the task to lead ourselves.

Stage 2 - Leadership of Others

Once we decide to take on the responsibility of leader, immediately we take on the task of leading others. Our ability to lead efficiently now depends on additional skill sets we need to develop. Communicating with others. Listening to others. Casting The Vision for Others. Deciding on the actions to take. 

Stage 3 - Leadership of Leaders

John Maxwell said it best, from my point of view, Leadership is Influence. Nothing More. Nothing Less. As our influence grows, other leaders will follow or emerge in our area of influence. Once again, we need to level up our skill sets because leading leaders is not the same as leading others. The Regional director of an enterprise learns it very rapidly as the way she once communicated to her store managers is no longer as efficient when she communicates with her District Managers. 

In my journey to date, I have observed that these stages are continuous and it all circles back to Leading One Self, that stage starts over again when we achieve the next level of our Limitless Leader’s Journey.
